Parent Volunteer Opportunities


GT Parent Network
We are seeking parent volunteers in every state to receive e-mails from prospective and current parents. Meet other parents in your area and assist those who my have questions regarding Tech. To join our new Georgia Tech Parent Network please send the following information to Amy Lancaster: first name, last name, city, state, and e-mail address.


Connect With Tech
Connect With Tech (CWT) is a special recruitment program in which qualified students and their parents are invited to Tech for a weekend. These guests come from all over the country to learn what Georgia Tech has to offer. Parent volunteers attend an informal reception each CWT Sunday to welcome parents, inform them about the Parents Program, and answer any questions that they might have about having a student at Georgia Tech.


Time commitment: 1- 2 hours
Dress: GT attire

2007-08 Connect with Tech Dates: November 11, February 17, March 2, March 30, April 13,




Family Weekend
Parent volunteers are needed at Family Weekend to help greet guests at check-in, parents program table, seminars and various events during the two-day event.

Time commitment: Varies
Dress: GT attire

On Campus Phonathons
Volunteers are needed to call other parents and help raise money for the Parents Fund. The Parents Fund benefits student life initiatives, undergraduate academic opportunities, campus safety and security. Sessions are held once a month and provide a fun way to give back to the school.

Time commitment: 2.5 hours
Dress: Casual
Location: Alumni/ Faculty House
