Founded in 1986, the Georgia Tech Student Foundation provides funding to student organizations and students whose ideas or projects enhance Georgia Tech. Grants are funded from an endowment that currently totals more than $450,000. Foundation members are responsible for raising funds to increase the endowment, managing the endowment portfolio and allocating the interest and dividends to worthy student projects. GT Ambassadors The Georgia Tech Ambassadors strive to improve the quality of the Institute through professionalism, dedicated service and a direct partnership with the Alumni Association. Members are selected based on their leadership qualities, communication skills, knowledge of the Institute and unlimited enthusiasm for Georgia Tech. Ambassadors act as hosts at various Alumni Association and campus events and give personal campus tours for alumni and special guests. Other Ambassador activities include participation in high school recruitment programs, President's Suite activities, Homecoming Events and Presidents' Dinner.
