Speakers BureauAbout the Speakers Bureau Search for a speaker Information for speakers Contact Us Whether in the classroom, the research laboratory or on the athletic field, a wide variety of expertise can be found among the faculty and staff of Georgia Tech. As a way of showcasing this tradition of excellence, the Georgia Tech Alumni Association has developed a campus-wide Speakers Bureau available for use by the Institute, Alumni Clubs and the Georgia Tech community. If you have a need for an outstanding speaker at your next event, browse or search the online Speakers Bureau to find faculty whose areas of expertise will engage your group or club. We look forward to bringing you the wealth of knowledge and expertise that can be found at Georgia Tech. About the Speakers Bureau The Georgia Tech Speakers Bureau is a collaborative effort between the Alumni Association and Institute Communications, two departments that routinely receive public requests for Tech speakers. A web-based format, maintained and managed by the Alumni Association, is utilized as a way of publicizing and coordinating the process by housing addressable areas of expertise and handling speaker requests. Faculty and staff serve as speakers on a volunteer basis and agree to speak locally, regionally and nationally as their schedule permits. Several requirements exist for a faculty or staff member to be considered a good candidate for the Bureau. Because speakers routinely deal with alumni and, potentially, the public media, excellent communication skills are crucial. Additionally, the speaker must have the ability to address issues in broad terms for both Georgia Tech and their specific college, as well as having expertise in a specific area. Candidates must also have great enthusiasm for Georgia Tech. Search for a Speaker In order to make selecting a speaker easier, you can search for a Speakers Bureau member by area of interest such as administration or college. Speaker profiles detailing a faculty member’s area of expertise and background are also available. Because Speakers Bureau members speak on a volunteer basis, please be aware that advance scheduling is strongly encouraged. Search our list of speakers.
