2012 Gold & White Honors Award
Georgia Tech is enriched by the dedication and service of alumni and friends to the Institute as well as the representation of Georgia Tech throughout the community. The following awards express the Alumni Association’s appreciation for the contributions of our outstanding alumni.
Dean Griffin Community Service Award
Submittal deadline has passed
The award recognizes a Georgia Tech alumnus/alumna who has performed exemplary community service. Honorees are evaluated on the following four factors:
- Service in a long term volunteer capacity
- Impact on the quality of life of others
- Leadership and creativity in dealing with societal problems
- Ability to serve as a source of inspiration for others
Outstanding Young Alumni Award
Submittal deadline has passed
The award honors a Georgia Tech alumnus/alumna who has not reached his/her fortieth birthday as of February 16, 2012 and one who has demonstrated outstanding leadership and service to:
- Georgia Tech and the Alumni Association
- The general welfare of his/her community
- His/her profession
Joseph Mayo Pettit Alumni Distinguished Service Award
The highest award conferred by the Alumni Association honoring an alumnus/alumna or honorary alumnus/alumna. The award is given yearly and may recognize multiple recipients.
The Alumni Association’s Executive Committee selects and approves recipients who have provided outstanding support of the Institute and Alumni Association throughout a lifetime and who have provided leadership in their chosen professions and local communities.
Honorary Alumnus Award
The award honors an individual who has devoted him/herself to the greater good of Georgia Tech. Any non-Alumnus who has proven outstanding service to Georgia Tech is eligible. The award is given yearly and may recognize multiple recipients.
The Alumni Association’s Executive Committee selects and approves recipients based on recommendations from the campus community and alumni.
