
Ways to gain interest in your program and dollars for your scholarship…
- Organize a game-watching party and promote the program
- Host a spring golf tournament with Georgia Tech sports figure
- Send a personal letter from club officer soliciting donations
- Send a postcard educating local alumni about the program
- Publicize the successes of past scholarship winners while they are at Tech
- Sell club merchandise with profits going to scholarship program
- Recognize past contributors to encourage future giving
- Publicize all parts of the program – let alumni know how they can volunteer (reading applications, interviewing, final selections)
- Invite past winners to attend club meetings over school breaks
- Organize city-specific event with proceeds going to scholarship program (example: oyster roast in Hampton Roads)
- Collaborate with other Georgia Tech clubs to hold larger event (example: Kickoff Celebration in Atlanta)
