“Georgia Tech’s Efforts in Sustainable Infrastructure and Hurricane Katrina”

For more than a century, our infrastructure systems have been the key to our economic growth, national security, health, safety, and overall quality of life. However, these systems are facing unprecedented challenges including aging and deterioration, rapid population growth in urban areas, threats from natural and manmade hazards, and the effects of climate change. Faculty and students at Georgia Tech are at the forefront of research into ways to improve our nation’s infrastructure – from smart buildings and sustainable transportation systems to disaster resilient cities and communities. These efforts will set the stage for the next generation sustainable infrastructure systems needed to compete in a global economy.

We ask that you bring a new or gently used toy for the Christmas Toy Shop as part of our TEAM Buzz community service project.

We will also be drawing for 2 tickets to the ACC Championship Game to be held in Tampa!
