Each year, the alumni club gets together to celebrate community service and philanthropy to others. We have chosen one day in the Fall to pick a project to best help and give back to the community. Our GTAZ Philanthropy Committee has chosen the date of Saturday, November 21, 2009 as our community service day. This date does not conflict with any GT game watching, as it falls on the weekend of the Yellow Jackets’ bye week.

In the spirit of giving back to the community, we’ll be volunteering at the Andre House in Downtown Phoenix from 1:00-3:00 pm. Project activities will include donation collection and sorting. Volunteers must be 12 years and older and should wear comfortable clothing and tennis (closed toe) shoes. And to show our Georgia Tech spirit, be sure to wear a GTAZ polo or t-shirt.

For those interested, confirmation letters of voluntary service can be provided to volunteers to acknowledge participation and community service hours.
