Welcome to the online information site of the Georgia Tech Club of Western North Carolina. We became a chartered club with the Alumni Association in December, 1999, and have been very active since that time. If you live in the area of NC west of Morganton, we would love to have you join us for our events. Our board meets monthly (normally the 3rd Wednesday) at the Holiday Inn Airport between Asheville and Hendersonville, and anyone is welcome to come and join us at those meetings.
We have been privileged to have Dr. Wayne Clough and Coach Paul Hewitt as speakers at two of our previous spring banquets, and have presented a total of $30,154 in scholarships to high school students from Western North Carolina who enrolled at Tech over the past nine years.
We have sponsored bus trips to football games at Clemson and Wake Forest as well as going to Atlanta in 2003 for homecoming against NC State, and have had an annual summer picnic for nine years running. Check out our event calendar for upcoming happenings.
