Welcome to the Triad Georgia Tech Alumni Club Representing Alumni in the Piedmont Triad Area of North Carolina.
This area offers many opportunities to be involved with Georgia Tech either through meeting for social events or representing Georgia Tech in the community. About Our Events
Game Watching Parties:
For Georgia Tech football and basketball games, GT alumni and friends get together to watch the games. It is exciting to cheer on the Yellow Jackets with fellow fans. Check out the events page are sign-up for our e-mail for details.
Club Dinners and Meetings with Representatives from GT:
The club holds athletic or adcademic dinners to hear about current events at Georgia Tech from GT representatives. This helps us come together as a club and stay connected to the Georgia Tech community. It is a real treat to have prominent Tech academic and athletic speakers come to the Triad area promoting Georgia Tech.
TRIAD LOCAL AREA Scholarship:
We will be offering three scholarship to local area students. The club will offer one $1000 schoalrship and two $500 dollar schoalrships to rising freshman in the 2008/2009 school year. Stay tune for details.
Freshman Send-Off Picnic:
For the freshmen coming from the Triad, we meet for a picnic in August. It is a chance for new students and their families to meet each other and ask people who "made it out" to tell their stories. Also, it is a good time to meet fellow GT alumns from the Triad area.
College Fairs:
We need volunteers in the fall to represent Georgia Tech at the college fairs for high schools around the Triad area. If you would like to tell high school students and their parents how great it is to be a Ramblin' Reck from Georgia Tech, become a Ramblin Recruiter.
Team Buzz:
Volunteer for Team Buzz, Georgia Tech's philanthropy day. This is the day in October when Georgia Tech students and alumni around the country volunteer their time to organizations such as the Habitat for Humanity and the Food Bank.
