February 2007

9Biletnikoff Award Dinner For Calvin Johnson
As you know, Calvin Johnson won the Biletnikoff Award this year. What you may not know is that it is actually presented by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club. Calvin will be formally presented the award on Friday, February 9th, 2007 during a dinner at the FSU University Center. The speaker will be former Georgia Tech Head Football Coach Bill Curry. The VIP reception is at 6PM and the main banquet starts at 7PM. The Tech coaching staff will be represented by Buddy Geis.

This is a fundraiser, so tickets are steep at $125 each. If you are interested in joining us, please call or email me as soon as possible, as it may already be too late since this event sells out every year.

9The LadyJackets Come To Tallahassee
The Lady Jackets will be at the Tallahassee Civic Center to play the F$U women in basketball. Tickets are cheap, you can sit right behind the Tech bench, and tip-off is at 7PM.

13Men's Basketball Team Game Against F$U
To pay half-price for the tickets, go to http://www.seminoles.com and click on "Online Ticket Center", then click on "Promotion Codes" on the left-hand side. Next enter "COMCAST" in the text box and click on "Go", then click on "Ga Tech". To actually pay for these once you've reserved them, it appears that you will have to create an account. Still, $9 a ticket to see Tech play is a great deal.

For the third consecutive year, we will be meeting before the game in the patio of the Spotlight Grille. The doors are opening at 6PM so we no longer need the name of each person coming in order for you to get into the Civic Center. The voice of the Yellow Jackets, Wes Durham, will come by to speak to us about 7:15. If possible, please be at the Spotlight Grille by 7:00 so that you'll be able to give Wes your full attention. The buffet is $11.95 plus gratuity.
