Welcome to the Georgia Tech Alumni Club of Richmond Website
2009 ACC Football Champions
Central Virginia is home to more than eight hundred Tech graduates. Many of these alumni are interested in preserving their ties with the Institute after graduation. The objective of the Richmond Georgia Tech Alumni Club is to provide interested alumni the forum for maintaining their association with the alma mater.
The Club sponsors and participates in a variety of activities that support the Institute. From an academics perspective, the Club supports in the screening of local President's Scholarship candidates and partners with the Alumni Association in funding a matching scholarship for local perspective Yellow Jackets.
From an athletics perspective, the Club sponsors bus trips to root on the Jackets against ACC football rivals in the region. Additionally, we will gather to watch them for televised football and basketball games (see the Events section for details). The Club also sponsors one or two events per year where alumni can gather, network, and have a good time. There is a Spring dinner and a Fall family picnic. Both are a good time and we hope you will join us.
The Club is only as strong as its membership. If you are already a member, we are looking forward to seeing you again this year. If you are not yet a member, we hope you will consider joining us. If there are questions, do not hesitate to contact any of the officers listed.

January 9, 2010 NEWS: Yellow Jackets Upend No. 5 Duke, 71-67
Gani Lawal scored 21 points, including a crucial shot with just over a minute remaining, and No. 20 Georgia Tech bounced back with a 71-67 upset of fifth-ranked Duke on Saturday. A special thanks to the team for their effort. As an added benefit, my sister and brother-in-law (all Duke alumni) will have to and fly the GT flag in her house for a week, as she promised.
