The Nashville GT Club has been around for decades, and with over 750 alumni in the local area, we are in the process of making it even better. We are working hard to grow our participation level and to:

  • Attract top local high school students to Tech
  • Establish career networks
  • Keep up to date with the growth and changes on campus
  • Cheer for the Yellow Jackets
  • Have a good time!!!

About Our Events

Game Watching Parties:
GT alumni and friends get together to watch GT football and basketball games at a local venue. It is exciting to cheer the Yellow Jackets to victory with fellow fans.

Annual Speaker Event:
Once a year, the Club holds a meeting to hear about Georgia Tech from GT representatives. This helps us come together as a club and stay connected to the Georgia Tech community. It is a real treat to have prominent Tech speakers promoting Georgia Tech! In the past, we have had speakers such as Wes Durham (the voice of the Jackets), Bob Harty (Executive Director of Communications and Public Affairs), and Paul Hewitt (Men's Basketball Coach).

Accepted Students Decision Program
The Club hosts an event for Nashville-area students that are accepted to Tech to learn more about the school. This is a great opportunity to help encourage students to choose Tech.

Freshman Send-Off Luncheon:
Do you remember the week before going to your freshman year of college? For some of us, we were worried about where classes were going to be and how hard we were going to have to study . . . for others, we were worried about where boys/girls were going to be and how we were going to meet them . . . for others, it is just too hard to remember back that far. For the Nashville incoming freshmen, we send them off in style with a freshmen send-off luncheon! It is a chance for new students and their families to meet each other and hear stories from people who "made it out."

College Fairs:
The Club participates in college fairs in the Fall. It is a great opportunity to tell how great it is to be a Ramblin' Reck from Georgia Tech!

Team Buzz:
Team Buzz is Georgia Tech's philanthropy day. This is a day when Georgia Tech students and alumni from around the country volunteer their time to charitable organizations or events.

Social Events:
Throughout the year, we host several activities like the ACC Holiday Party just for the fun of it!
