Association Partners with Web-based Financial Planner
![]() The Georgia Tech Alumni Association is partnering with SimpliFi, an online financial planning service, to offer a Web-based virtual adviser to alumni. "Georgia Tech alumni who use the Web-based financial planning service will receive a 33 percent discount," said Jim Shea, vice president for fund raising and business development for the Alumni Association. SimpliFi will pay 7.5 percent of all fees received from Georgia Tech alumni to the Alumni Association, Shea said. The online financial planning service features Sophie, a virtual financial adviser. Alumni who complete the process will receive a Goal BluePrint to help them define and realize financial objectives. "Less than 5 percent of all Americans have a financial plan, but those who do are 250 percent more likely to achieve all of their goals," said Bill Grizack, SimpliFi chief operating officer.
