Robot Challenge
Do It Yourself Network, an affiliate of Home & Garden Television, taped the premiere of "Robot Rivals," a series that challenges students from rival colleges to build robots from a storage of available parts. Teresa Crocker has been named Georgia Tech's new director of security and police. Crocker currently serves as chief of police at East Carolina University. She fills the position formerly held by Jack Vickery, who retired last summer.

Dyke, Muyres Earn Academic Awards
Georgia Tech senior punter Dan Dyke was named to the Verizon Academic All-America football team for the fourth straight year, while senior football standout Jeremy Muyres was the recipient of the Atlantic Coast Conference's Jim Tatum Award, signifying the top senior student athlete among ACC football players.
