Affinity Groups Plan Homecoming Events
Georgia Tech Alumni Association Affinity Groups are planning stimulating events that complement Homecoming weekend Oct. 18-20. Organizations with Homecoming activities include: Band Alumni kick off the band's 100th anniversary with a reception Friday evening, Oct. 19. The band alumni will have a combined game-day performance with the Georgia Tech marching band on Saturday. For information please e-mail bhampton.cs96@gtalumni.org. Black Alumni Organization events begin Thursday, Oct. 18 with a formal reception featuring season four "Apprentice" winner Randal Pinkett. On Friday, Gavin Samms, Desi Bellamy and Ralph Malone will speak during a workshop. On Saturday a tailgate starts four hours before the game. Visit www.gtblackalumni.org. Military Affinity Group holds a reception with Tech ROTC students Thursday, Oct. 18. The group will hold an event Friday and a joint tailgate with Army on Saturday. The Tuskegee Airmen will be in attendance. Visit www.gtmag.org. International Affairs alumni and students will hold an event on Satuday, Oct. 20 at the Habersham Building. Co-op Alumni Group, a proposed affinity group, celebrates Homecoming with co-op students on Friday, Oct. 19, at the co-op building and at Buzz Bash.
