Homecoming Oct. 18-20 features a 007 theme that's crammed with enough action, adventure, thrills and fireworks for a sure-fire weekend of fun and entertainment.

Don't miss Friday's Buzz Bash, which starts at 7:30 p.m. and has a Goldstinger James Bond theme. The climax features Buzz Bond and the Georgia Tech cheerleaders in a fun-filled finale complete with a fireworks show at 9:15 p.m.

The flashy high-tech cars of the big screen will yield to another genre of vehicles — imaginative contraptions built by innovative students in the annual Ramblin' Wreck Parade observing its 75th year. The parade, a tradition since 1932, starts at 8 a.m. Saturday. Afterward, alumni can tailgate big time under the big tent on the Tech Tower lawn.

The highlight of the weekend drama will pit Georgia Tech in a gridiron battle with Army on Saturday.

You can get a jump on the weekend at a wine-tasting reception on Thursday Oct. 18, followed by a day of informative seminars, campus tours and reunions beginning at 7:30 a.m. Oct. 19. The Class of 1957 will observe its golden anniversary, the Class of 1967 its 40th and the Class of 1982 its 25th reunion.
