Nominations are being accepted through Nov. 3 for the Outstanding Young Alumnus Award and the Dean Griffin Community Service Award. Self-nominations are accepted.
The Outstanding Young Alumnus Award honors a Tech graduate who has not reached age 40 by March 15, 2007. The primary considerations for nomination are:
- Contributions made by the nominee to Georgia Tech and the Georgia Tech Alumni Association.
- Contributions made by the nominee to the general welfare of his/her community.
- Contributions made by the nominee to his/her profession.
The Dean Griffin Community Service Award recognizes an alumnus who has performed exemplary community service work. The four primary considerations are:
- Service in a long-term volunteer capacity.
- Impact on the quality of life of others.
- Demonstrated leadership and creative ability to deal with societal problems proactively.
- Setting an example for others to follow.
