Leadership Georgia Tech Recognizes Clubs

Seventy-five club officers representing 51 Georgia Tech clubs from across the country are slated to participate in the annual Leadership Georgia Tech recognition Nov. 1 and 2.

The volunteer of the year and best friend of Georgia Tech awards will highlight a luncheon ceremony that pays tribute to outstanding clubs. Leadership Georgia Tech is an annual event that provides Alumni club officers with fresh ideas to keep alumni connected to Tech for life as well as initiate innovative solutions to problems clubs may encounter.

President Wayne Clough will address the club leadership in the opening session on Nov. 2 at the Georgia Tech Research Institute conference room on 14th Street. Alumni Chair C. Meade Sutterfield, EE 72, and Alumni President Joseph P. Irwin, IM 80, will also welcome the club officers. The luncheon will be held at the Wardlaw Center on North Avenue.

The officers will exchange leadership concepts and ideas that promote strong clubs in workshops and seminars. A reception will be held Thursday evening prior to the Yellow Jackets' football game against Virginia Tech.
