More than half of Georgia Tech's student athletes recorded grade point averages of 3.0 or better for the spring semester, including 27 who posted perfect 4.0s.

The fourth-ranked men's golf team took high honors with a 3.47 team GPA, while the sixth-ranked women's tennis team earned a 3.26. Seven of Tech's eight women's sports teams earned 3.05 or better.

"The academic achievement of our student athletes is our most important mission," said athletics director Dan Radakovich. "Just as they compete at the highest level in their sports, Georgia Tech student athletes compete against the very best in the academic arena. We are extremely proud of their accomplishments, and we are committed to providing the opportunity for every student athlete to be successful in the classroom and on the field."
