The Greater Cincinnati Georgia Tech Club has scheduled its picnic to begin at 4 p.m. July 29 at Blue Ash Nature Park. The club in Portland, Ore., will host its picnic from 3 to 5 p.m. July 29 at the home of Brook and Amy Miller.

Information on fees — if any — as well as other picnic details may be obtained at gtalumni.org/site/StudentSendoffs or by e-mailing Jane Stoner, senior manager of clubs for the Alumni Association, at jane.stoner@alumni.gatech.edu.

Roy Portwood, left to right, Larry Sprayberry, Frank Small and Bert Harrington and fellow members of the North Metro Georgia Tech Club often gather at Frankie's at the Prado, an Atlanta establishment with a Georgia Tech Corner for the "Lunch Bunch." The North Metro club will salute new Tech students with a send-off event Aug. 12.
