Women on Wednesdays is hosting a summer cooking class featuring chef Gena Berry on July 25 at Cook's Warehouse Midtown, 549-I Amsterdam Ave. N.E., Atlanta.
The evening will begin with hors d'oeuvres, served from 6:30 to 7 p.m., followed by the cooking class, which will conclude at 8:30 p.m. The cost of $40 includes the class, food and wine. Participants also are asked to donate three nonperishable food items.
Berry will demonstrate how to make arugula salad with dates and kumquats, seared salmon with mango salad, stuffed zucchini, broiled tomatoes and strawberry brulee.
She has worked with Food Network stars Bobby Flay and Gale Gand. Her company, Culinary Works, provides consulting services to such clients as Taste of the NFL, Georgia Specialty Food Association and Southern Living.
