The Georgia Tech Alumni Career Fair has been placing alumni in jobs for a quarter of a century. This year marks its silver anniversary, and for many alumni it represents a golden opportunity.
Last year's conference attracted more than 120 companies and more than 900 alumni. Alumni will be able to register online later this month for the 25th annual Georgia Tech Alumni Career Fair, which will be held March 11 at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta. Employers now may register on the Alumni Association's Web site.
This year's event will begin with a lunch workshop at noon. Alumni will meet company representatives from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. The fair will conclude with a networking reception from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
"This schedule was adopted to accommodate both our active and more passive job seekers and hopefully provide people who are currently employed the opportunity to attend," said Caroline Taylor, senior manager of Career Services and Networking for the Alumni Association.
"We want to encourage the alumni community to really leverage their Georgia Tech network through connections with the Alumni Association as well as their classmates and colleagues from Georgia Tech," she said.
