Alumni Rave About Digital Magazine

The digital Georgia Tech Alumni Magazine was launched in January to enthusiastic reviews.

"Wow! The best digital publication I have ever seen!" proclaimed David E. Mize, IE 66.

"This is absolutely wonderful. I loved being able to hear the tango," agreed Laura T. Garmendia, whose son, Daniel, is a fourth-year student in aerospace engineering.

"Way cool and well done," remarked Tavie Allan, ICS 90.

"The new Alumni Magazine is a great format — quick and easy to view," said Paul Tully, ID 77.

"I loved the issue," said Kyung Mun MS EE 94. "Keep it coming."

Check it out at http://www.nxtbook.com/nxtbooks/gatech/alumni-winter07/.

The toolbar at the top of the page allows readers to click for a thumbnail glance at the publication, go to the contents page and click on a headline and immediately go to the related article, zoom in or out, get a one-page view, perform a word search, print pages and forward the magazine to a friend.

The digital publication is not replacing the printed edition of the Georgia Tech Alumni Magazine, which will continue to be mailed to Roll Call donors. In fact, the online edition is designed as an added bonus for donors to the Alumni Association's annual fund.

A digital version of Tech Topics will be online later in February with the publication of the print edition. As with the debut edition of the digital Alumni Magazine, the online Tech Topics will be distributed free to all alumni who have made their e-mail addresses available to the Alumni Association. Future digital editions of the Alumni Magazine and Tech Topics will be sent to Roll Call contributors.
