Georgia Tech's newest batch of graduates — about 1,600 students — will receive their degrees in December, including football star running back Tashard Choice, who will be graduating with a degree in history, technology and society.
Undergraduate students in the Colleges of Architecture, Computing, Management and Sciences and the Ivan Allen College will receive their diplomas at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15 at Alexander Memorial Coliseum. Georgia Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle will speak at the ceremony.
Norman Augustine, the former chairman and CEO of Lockheed Martin Corp., will address students receiving undergraduate degrees from the College of Engineering at 2 p.m. in the coliseum.
Robert H. Grubbs, Victor and Elizabeth Atkins professor of chemistry at the California Institute of Technology and a winner of the 2005 Nobel Prize in chemistry, will speak at the master's and PhD commencement exercises at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14.
