The sights and scenes on the ground ranged from racers on tricycles to a fire-eating performer, but no one had the spectacular "overview" of Homecoming on the Georgia Tech campus that was enjoyed by Jeff Latham, IE 99, and Perry Solomon, CE 99. The two Navy lieutenants, in their roaring F/A-18 Hornets, buzzed Bobby Dodd Stadium preceding the football game against Miami. Latham and Solomon, flight instructors based at Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia Beach, Va., must have inspired the Yellow Jackets, who defeated the Hurricanes 30-23.
