The Georgia Tech Young Alumni Council is working to engage those who "got out" 10 years ago or less with a variety of initiatives.

Young Alumni Council members met with members of the Georgia Tech Alumni Association Board of Trustees and staff for a retreat in August. The council is working in partnership with the Alumni Association to create programs and services for current and future young alumni in three areas - events, networking and communications.

The council's initiatives include an alumni-to-alumni mentoring program, best practices research with other alumni associations around the country, presentation of young alumni programs based on surveys and improved communications and marketing with students at graduation about the benefits of participation in the Alumni Association.

Future projects include an event specifically for young alumni Roll Call donors, increased access to mentoring opportunities including regional e-mentoring and continued support of alumni clubs.
