Women on Wednesdays, a networking program and speaker series exclusively for Georgia Tech alumnae, is hosting a discussion about compensation and career issues from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Oct. 27.

Sharing secrets of their success will be Helen Berg, chief information officer for Internet Security Systems; Mel Coker, EE 87, senior director of corporate strategy at BellSouth; Wonya Lucas, IE 83, executive vice president of marketing at the Weather Channel; and Blair Marks, CerE 78, director of the C-5 avionics modernization program at Lockheed Martin. They will offer tips on becoming an effective negotiator, building key networks and proven career advancement strategies.

The presentation, "The Best Price for Your Work: The Art of Negotiation," will be held at the Alumni House and is open to all Tech alumnae. The registration fee is $25 and includes breakfast. Seating is limited. Register by Oct. 20 at www.gtalumni.org/women.
