Each year the Georgia Tech Alumni Association's Gold & White Honors ceremony recognizes alumni who have distinguished themselves in service to the Institute.
Nominations are being accepted through Nov. 5 for the Outstanding Young Alumnus Award and the Dean Griffin Community Service Award. Self nominations are accepted.
The Outstanding Young Alumnus Award honors a Tech graduate who has not reached their 40th birthday by March 17, 2005. The primary considerations for nomination are:
- Service to the Institute and the Alumni Association.
- Service to the community.
- Service to their profession.
The Dean Griffin Community Service Award recognizes an alumnus who has performed exemplary community service work. The four primary considerations are:
- Service in a long-term volunteer capacity.
- Impact on the quality of life of others.
- Leadership and creative ability to proactively deal with societal problems.
- Setting an example for others.
