Club Activities
The GTDC club is the largest GT club outside of the Atlanta area, with over 3,700 GT alumni in the DC metro area. We are a very active and vibrant club organizing a wide range of events including happy hours, sports teams, game watching parties, seminars, speaker events, volunteer opportunities, our annual picnic, and more! There are ample ways to get involved with the club and stay connected to GT. Please be sure to read our events and calendar pages for the latest listing of upcoming events. Past and current events include:
- Our Annual Summer Picnic and Student Send-off
- GT Football Game Watching Parties
- Wind Down Wednesday monthly happy hours
- Block seating for GT sports in the DC area
- Group outings to Nationals, Capitols, and other local professional sports teams
- Club sports teams in softball, flag football, and soccer that compete against other alumni teams
- Organizing dinners with distinguished members of the GT family. Some prior speakers include:
* Pepper Rodgers, former quarterback during the Bobby Dodd era, led GT to 3 bowl victories, a national championship, and was undefeated vs UGA, former Men's Head Football coach at GT during the 70's, and VP for Football Operations at the Washington Redskins

Scholarships and Recruiting
We also support GT by offering scholarships to DC-area students who will be attending GT as freshmen. Make sure to read our scholarships page if you have a son or daughter interested in becoming a Ramblin' Wreck! The club also recruits at local high school college fairs to get area students interested in attending GT. Contact club VP Emily Bever if you would like to get involved with recruiting.
Club Leadership
Our club activities and events are organized by a wonderful group of club officers and leadership team members who volunteer their time to help make our club one of the top GT clubs in the nation. Please see our "Officers" page for more info on how to contact an officer.
We're always looking for more people who want to get involved! Our leadership team meets on the third Monday of every month at the Chevy's Mexican Restaurant in the Ballston Mall at 7pm to discuss and plan upcoming events. Anyone interested in getting involved is welcome to attend. Please contact GTDC Club President, Whitney Owen, if you would like to join us.
